How do you spot phishing?
Phishing websites often share the same warning signs. Watch for these clues:
- Suspicious URLs or senders – e.g., “paypa1.com” instead of “paypal.com”.
- Odd design choices – low-resolution graphics or broken layouts.
- Missing security – no https lock icon or invalid certificates.
- Unexpected requests – prompts for passwords or banking data.
- No contact details – nowhere to verify the organization.
- Artificial urgency – a countdown or threat to rush you.
